INCAE Business School may request, through its web site, personal information. Therefore, by using our web site, you acknowledge you have read and accepted our Privacy and Security Policy as it is set out herein and in our Terms and Conditions.

Information Collection and Use

INCAE Business School's Privacy and Security Policy applies to collection and use of the information you provide us via our web site. This information will only be used by INCAE Business School.

The system automatically collects IP addresses and pages visited, in order to use it in internal statistical analysis processes. This information is not used to track a user's private data. The User authorizes INCAE Business School to use this information for marketing actions, statistical purposes and web site improvement.

The following will be responsible for the information the User sends via this site:

1. Directors and/or people in charge of institutional databases, as appropriate (event registration, donation of funds), by storing the information you provide, except for credit card data.

2. INCAE Business School's Treasury Department, which will use credit card data to process payments. We do not keep that information longer than necessary for that purpose.

The information will not be used for any other purpose other than the purpose for which it was provided. INCAE Business School respects your right to privacy, and will not provide its users' personal information to third parties without their consent, unless so required by required by valid law.

INCAE Business School will not sell information to third parties for marketing, advertising or promotional purposes.


We use tracking technology with cookies. The User may configure his/her browser to disable the use of cookies. If cookies are disabled, you will be able to continue browsing our web site, though with some restrictions.


In order to keep the User's personal information safe, INCAE Business School shall use encryption technology to avoid unauthorized access or the accidental loss, alteration or destruction of your information.

The transmission of personal information such as credit card data through the Internet is protected using 128 bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) coding technology as a safe channel for your transactions.

The owner of these certificates is INCAE Business School, domiciled in La Garita, Alajuela, Costa Rica. The effective period for both certificates is between September 10, 2007 and September 10, 2009.

No system can guarantee complete security. However, an attempt is made to keep the information provided by the User as safe as possible, including keeping it physically safe at the server location where information is temporarily maintained while processing to later delete it.

Transfer of Data

We can transfer your data (except credit card data) to our Offices in countries where INCAE has representation for event development purposes or to send donors benefits or customized invitations to accountability events. In this latter case, we share only and exclusively your name and address with a courier company to make the deliver.

Data Updating

Periodically, we carry out telephone updates of the data you provide via the web site.

Policy Updating

INCAE Business School's Privacy and Security Policy was updated on 09-01-2008. We may modify it from time to time, in which case we will disclose the modified policy in our web site.

Payment Policy, Change Policy, Cancellation Policy and Certificate Policy

Participation on any event must be paid at your country offices or via our web site at least 5 working days before the event start date. Otherwise, INCAE Business School reserves the right to assign your place to participants on the waiting list.

Payment Policy

The entire investment must be paid for before the event start date. Otherwise, a 5% penalty will be applied to the original amount.

Changes to or Cancellation of Participants and Registration Refund

Space for each event is limited. Therefore, participants must pay 100% of the investment before the event start date.

If you cannot attend the event and have already paid your registration, feel free to transfer your space for this event to another member of your company or organization at no extra charge. Please contact a sales executive to do so.

Your registration may be transferred in full (100%) for use at other events to be held in the following six months or it may be reimbursed when you send a written notification (by e-mail or fax) 10 calendar days or more in advance before the event start date.

Ninety percent (90%) of your registration may be transferred for use at other events to be held in the following six months or it may be reimbursed when a written notification is received at least 5 calendar days before the event start date.

When the request is received at least 5 calendar days before the event start date, no cash reimbursement will apply. You may only request that 90% of your registration be transferred to another event to be held in the following six months.

INCAE Business School's Treasury Department, transfers balances credited to the participant to a differed revenue account during the six months set out in this policy.

Event Cancellation by INCAE

If, for any reason, INCAE cancels or postpones an event, a 100% refund or transfer of the investment and space will be guaranteed at the next event scheduled on that topic.

Certificates of Participation

Certificates of participation will only be awarded to people who paid for the event in full and attended the entire event.

Details of the Investment

The investment for all events includes registration, learning material, meals (lunch and coffee), and certificate of participation.
