gragraTwenty-eight students (seven females and 21 males) from Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru received their MBA degrees last October 6th at Campus Walter Kissling Gam in Costa Rica. They were the first Global MBA Class (2017) who strived for 14 toward this goal.

The full-time Global MBA Program provides a strong international component by combining management knowledge acquired at INCAE and interaction with world-renowned companies. This is achieved through a program integrating the case method with consulting projects and academic trips and visits to companies abroad. The Financial Times ranks this MBA

among the top business school programs in Latin America.

Major activities included a field trip to the U.S. to visit companies with a strong focus on doing business with Latin America as well as startups to find inspiration

to do likewise in Latin American countries. The 2017 Class visited the Silicon Valley, San Francisco, to attend lectures at Hewlett Packard Enterprises, Intel, NASA, Stanford University, Globant, Neustar and several startups. The Class also participated in the Global Network Week visiting the Yale School of Business and Hitotsubashi University, which are members of GNAM, the business school network led by Yale.

The opening address at the commencement ceremony was delivered by INCAE Rector Enrique Bolaños, who offered advice and congratulated the graduates.

"Today you are beginning a new, challenging path. I am proud to see you all succeeded, even though you had to face great challenges".

"I never thought I could learn so much in just 14 months", said Nicaraguan Valedictorian Álvaro Barrios.

Next the graduates recognized Dedicated Professor of the Year Arnoldo Rodríguez and Disruptive Faculty Members Germán Fernando Retana, Ryan Schill, and Luis López, for their guidance and valuable tools provided.

During the commencement ceremony Oath Club President Luis Díaz took the MBA Oath from students. The book with members' signatures was delivered to the Rector of INCAE. Then degrees and distinctions were handed. It was very rewarding to see the happy faces of the graduates and their loved ones as INCAE strives to not only train leaders but also well-rounded individuals able to meet their goals.
