Financial Times places INCAE among elite business schools in the Americas

Por primera vez, Financial Times publicó un resumen de sus reconocidas clasificaciones globales en MBA,

Executive MBA, y Executive Education Programs (Programas abiertos y programas personalizados) para las Américas y Asia-Pacífico. El nuevo ranking se basa en la calidad y la amplitud de los programas de postgrado ofrecidos por las escuelas de negocios en ambos continentes y mide el rendimiento de cada escuela en cada uno de los principales rankings publicados este año.

ernesto cruz libroSurrounded by a group of close friends, faculty members, graduates, and students of INCAE, Dr. Ernesto Cruz presented his book INCAE, los años formativos at INCAE's Campus Francisco de Sola in Montefresco. This is the same campus he inaugurated on June 20, 1969, one day before the graduation of INCAE's first class. The event took place at the first INCAE Annual Meeting that brought together several classes of graduates who had a chance to see again their colleagues and professors and to meet Dr. Cruz.

The event brought together business and social entrepreneurs, journalists, high-level executives, diplomatic corps members, and Latin American philanthropy leaders to discuss Latin America's opportunities and challenges in relation to the region's sustainable development goals.

brenthurstLast November 15th a number of entrepreneurs, experts, and dignitaries from different countries interested in Africa visited INCAE's Campus Walter Kissling Gam in Alajuela to attend the Brenthurst Foundation board meeting. Brenthurst is a South African foundation devoted to promoting better public policy in that continent.

Attendees included former presidents Kgalema Mothlante (South Africa) and Olusegun Obasanjo (Nigeria), as well as Jonathan Oppenheimer (South Africa), Barry Desker (Singapore) and Jeff Herbst (USA), among others. In addition to the board meeting an event was held to allow the INCAE community to meet them.


INCAE will host the Strategic Management Society Conference to be held for the first time ever in Central America

strategic management society conferenceINCAE Business School will be one of the official sponsors of the Strategic Management Society (SMS) conference, to be held for the first time in Central America on December 14 at Campus Walter Kissling Gam in Costa Rica, and on December 15 and 16 at the Real Intercontinental Hotel in San José.

Two INCAE faculty members, Dr. Esteban R. Brenes and Dr. Octavio Martínez, will serve as co-chairs for the conference. The third co-chair is Dr. Jay Anand from the Ohio State University Fisher School of Business. The event aims to bring together academics and faculty members from top business schools around the world to discuss, learn, and share about management research topics stressing collaborative strategies, new thinking on strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions.

The conference is supported by INCAE's Steve Aronson Chair of Strategy and is expected to be attended by 230 people
