María Eugenia Brizuela


Ms. Brizuela serves as Director of the Executive Committee of INCAE Business School. She is the President of HSBC in El Salvador. In addition, she is a member of the Executive Committee of Escuela Agrícola Panamericana Zamorano and a Consultant Member of the Executive Committee of ITCA-FEPADE (Fundación Empresarial para el Desarrollo Educativo.) She served as Foreign Minister of El Salvador and became famous as the first woman appointed president of a private bank in that country.

She helped found the Diplomatic Academy in El Salvador and also served as President of the American Committee against Terrorism of OAS and the General Assembly of OAS. In January 2007 she was awarded the "Palma de Oro," the highest honor bestowed by the Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
